Does Simplesync use the cloud?

No - transfers stay on your local Wi-Fi, and we do not upload files to our servers.

Can Simplesync see my files or collect their contents?

No. Files transfer directly between your devices and remain private.

Is it encrypted?

Yes - transfers are encrypted in transit on your local network.

Setup & pairing

Do I need an account?

No, you do not need to create an account, simply pair once and sync.

How do I pair devices?

Open the desktop app and scan the QR code with your phone.

Can I connect multiple devices?

Yes - available with Premium. Pair more than one device when you need it.

Upgrade

Does it work over mobile data?

Not yet - both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi.

Storage & limits

Where are files stored on desktop? Can I choose the folder?

Files are saved locally, you can change where they are saved to.

Is there a file size limit?

No artificial limits. You're only limited by your network speed and available storage.

What file types are supported?

Photos, videos, PDFs, ZIPs, and more.

What devices are supported?

Only Windows and Android at this time.
